Jamba Nyinayi Festival

On Wednesday the 19th of April 2023, the day prior to the Total Solar Eclipse, a major Indigenous cultural arts festival is planned for Cardabia Station near Coral Bay. The inaugural Jamba Nyinayi Festival will combine a spectacular drone light show, music, dance, the stars, food and fire.
Jamba Nyinayi Festival will bring a stunning array of WA dance and musical artists, featuring some of the best of Gascoyne talent. Traditional foods will form a part of the cultural experience. The festival will tell the story of what the eclipse means to the traditional owners through a drone light show and an Indigenous music and dance program. All the cultural art shown and performed will be curated around the traditional eclipse story, creating an original and significant cultural experience.
This is an exclusive event to Coral Bay accommodation holders, and as such the event capacity is limited to ensure access for those with accommodation. This is a free ticketed event and registration is essential to ensure comfort for those attending.

Ancient Land Under Brilliant Skies

Located in the heart of Wajarri country, The Ancient Land Under Brilliant Skies Festival is coming to the Murchison Settlement this April. Learn from CSIRO about the world’s largest radio telescope the SKA, join a virtual reality experience with ‘Beyond The Milky Way’, learn how to cook in a camp oven or take a scenic helicopter flight. Wander the local market stalls of artisan-made goods. Participate in a bushtucker talk and admire indigenous artworks. Circus acts, face painting, costume making and more will enthral the children. Sit amongst the oasis of Murchison and enjoy good food supplied by local caters and enthusiasts. In the evening, relax with fantastic performances or participate in a stellar stargazing event, including three spectacular green laser pointer tours of Southern Hemisphere constellations.

Onslow Eclipse Concert at Thalanyji Oval

It’s time to wrap up an epic week in Onslow with a free concert at Thalanyji Oval!
Everyone is invited to attend the party to end one of the biggest weeks in Onslow’s history celebrating such a rare natural phenomenon.

Enjoy live music by Eskimo Joe, Corey Colum, The Flying Submarines, Michael Ward and DJ Selina Murby.

Entry is FREE and food trucks will be serving a wide range of delicious food and beverages will be supplied by the Onslow Sports Club and North West Brewing Co from Karratha
